Then, readers voted for their favorites over four weeks. Here’s who came out on top across all seven categories.

Best Air Show: Airshow London in London, Ontario

Airshow London in Ontario is an event advertised as “Canada’s Original Drive-In Air Show.” Guests experience the “Sky Drive” from the comfort of their cars and view an aerial show that features multiple performers, including the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. Three different parking admission “zones” are offered, including one next to the runway for amazing views of the performers.

Best Attraction for Car Lovers: Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, Nebraska

The Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed showcases history-making cars, from Indy 500 racers to one of the world’s largest collections of exotic and historic American racing engines. Museum exhibits cover several topics, including toys, pedal cars and driving safety.

Best Car Show: Cruisin’ The Coast on the Mississippi Gulf Coast

Cruisin’ The Coast is considered “America’s largest block party.” Imagine more than 7,000 vehicles – hot rods, classics, antique vehicles – in a massive car show along the beachside highway on the Mississippi Coast. Car lovers adore this annual event, which has taken over the Mississippi Gulf Coast every year since its inception in 1996.
Cruise between the different venues, each a festival in and of itself, and catch live music, food, merchandise, a car auction, swap meet, parade and plenty of car talk.

Best Horse Racing Track: Delta Downs in Vinton, Louisiana

Thoroughbreds and quarter horses both race at Delta Downs, found in southern Louisiana not far from the Texas border. This racetrack is also part of a casino-entertainment hotel complex that features other kinds of gaming beyond track betting.
The thoroughbred season gallops from October to February here, when the weather is usually fine; and the quarter horse season runs from April through July, so this is one track that covers racing lovers just about year-round.

Best Motorsports Race: Indianapolis 500 in Indianapolis, Indiana

Billed as the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” the Indy 500 has been a cornerstone of American sports for over 100 years and is one of the biggest races in the world, bringing in around 300,000 spectators on race day. Speeds topping over 220 miles per hour make it a thrilling and suspenseful event.

Best NASCAR Track: Road America in Plymouth, Wisconsin

Road America is a motorsport road course located between Milwaukee and Green Bay in Wisconsin. As one of the world’s fastest permanent road courses, it’s home to a NASCAR Xfinity Series race that takes place in July.
