Also in La Boca but on the opposite end of the spectrum is Colón Fábrica at Teatro Colón, a magical warehouse offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at the props and costumes for some of the world’s most famous opera and ballet productions. Imagine proposing on the set of “The Marriage of Figaro” or taking engagement photos on thrones belonging to your favorite royal couple.
Note: You may want to brush up on your opera first to make sure you don’t accidentally get down on your knee in front of a tragedy instead of one with a happy ending.

Book lovers will want to create their own story in El Ateneo Grand Splendid, considered one of the world’s most beautiful bookstores. Housed in a palatial former theater, it maintains many of its elegant details and now stocks more than 120,000 books. Declare your love for each other on the magnificent stage, which has been transformed into a coffee bar where you can also enjoy the city’s signature dulce de leche.

Another truly unique setting is the “Floralis Generica,” an 18-ton metal flower that reflects the city in its silver petals. Created by architect Eduardo Catalano, the massive sculpture pays tribute to all flowers and, like your love, will never die.

If you prefer real flowers, Buenos Aires boasts many stunning gardens that are popular for weddings.
Because roses are most often associated with love and romance, El Rosedal, the Palermo Rose Garden, is an ideal spot to start your life together. Featuring more than 18,000 roses, it smells heavenly and is especially breathtaking in spring and summer when everything is blooming. Named a Garden of Excellence by the World Federation of Rose Societies, it has been an oasis in the city for more than a century.

Jardín Japones, the Japanese Garden, is one of the largest outside of Japan itself and was designed to create balance and harmony. The bridges are especially lovely places for wedding photos.
Home to more than 1,500 species, Jardín Botánico Carlos Thays, the Botanical Garden, is so romantic, with a variety of gardens, trails and greenhouses. Check out the butterfly garden for a joyful experience and Instagram-worthy pics.
