When you reach Uptown Dallas, head to the public trolleys which are free and will take you from one end of McKinney Avenue to another. If you would like to spend a bit of time somewhere more natural you can always head to Klyde Warren Park. The good news is you can reach the Park when you ride on a public trolley.
Bishop Arts District
While the Bishop Arts District is not exactly in the center of Dallas, it is a lovely place to visit. This is perhaps the ideal area to visit if you would like a quick break from city life. Considered to be the most independent area of Dallas, the district is home to many art galleries and independent boutiques. This is a good place to spend a Saturday afternoon when the center of Dallas is just a little too busy.
Cowboy Hall of Fame
Although the Cowboy Hall of Fame is located in Fort Worth rather than Dallas, it is worth visiting. Take the Trinity Railway Express and head to the Fort Worth Stockyards. With $5 admission (Correct at the time of writing), you’ll see a lot of great tributes to the Wild West. In addition to this, you can enjoy a cattle drive should you wish to as there’s two every day.
Make sure you take your camera with you as you’ll probably get a good few shots!
