It really does not matter from which side of the compass you begin with, as long as you are in Kenya any place has something for you. Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, also known as the city under the sun, has a lot of attractions including Nairobi National Park, Museums of Kenya, Giraffe Centre, Sheldrick Trust, Mamba Village and many other hot spots for various activities. After a tiresome shopping spree in Nairobi one can always find a relaxing hotel, restaurant or bar in town to relax. For the nature lovers Uhuru Park, Arboretum and Karura Forest are the ideal places to watch the birds.

As you move on, the geographical nature changes and you dive in to the heart of the Great Rift Valley. The lakes are among the interesting scenes you will come across. Kenya is a haven for bird watchers as they have lots of bird sanctuaries to pick from. Lake Nakuru National Park has more than four hundred species of birds. Kakamega forest and Meru conservancy are also nature lovers aphrodisiacs as they burst with a lot to see and enjoy.

The highest mountain in Mt. Kenya is snow capped and it is just by the equator. It is an ideal place for hiking and mountain climbing. Mt Longonot is a dormant volcano that powers the Olkaria Geothermal power plant that recently launched the largest natural sauna in Africa. Kenya is a basket full of goodies for all kinds of tourists.
