I might not be able to express how beautiful this region is but this document will definitely convince you how beautiful this region is. https://youtu.be/sxrDcH08bkA

1- You Should Join a Group If You Are Independent Hiker

Independent hikers are welcome just in a certain trekking area in Nepal.  If you are thinking about going on a trek solo, then know that Manaslu is not the right place for you. Due to it is under the restricted area, Manaslu and Tsum Valley require a special permit that should be organized through a local agency. The area is an open board with Tibet China. Each tourist group needs to be accompanied by a registered trekking guide because of the border security between the two countries. A lone ranger isn’t allowed trekking in the Manaslu area, and you have to go in the form of a group or at least two people in order to enjoy the beautiful trails. If you still don’t go alone, you’ll have to sign up an application for it, and of course, you’ll require your passport too. Even if you get permission to go solo, you will have to take a guide with you.

Note: Independent hiker may visit this area with a “ghost permit” (trekking with a real person’s name but just in a permit). and a private guide.  Due to the cost matter a majority of the hikers join the group.

2- Don’t Forget To Say “Tashi-Delek”

If you want to socialize a little and if you want to show the locals that you admire their culture then learn to greet them in their own language. Don’t worry, you won’t have to learn a lot, in fact, just learn how to say “Tashi-Delek” and this will work just fine for you. Tashi Delek is what Tibetan people use in their culture to greet people. “Tashi” means “auspicious” and “Delek” means “Goodluck”. So if you come across a Tibetan while trekking on the trails of Nepal, just make sure to say these two words and let them know how much you adore and like their culture. It’s a great tip if you want to make some local friends in Nepal.

3- Book Before You Leave

The Manaslu trek is one of the most alluring treks in Nepal, but you won’t find a lot of crowds here like the other treks in Nepal. This is because the other trekking trails are more popular among people in Nepal. But at the same time, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Manaslu is a great place to do some trekking. Now the problem that you might face would be with the tea houses and lodges because most of the time, these places are booked. So it would be better if you make the bookings earlier before leaving for the trek. This way, you won’t have to worry about anything.

4- Pack Properly

Last but not the least tip to consider is to pack your bags properly, especially if you are going on a trek in winters. Keep all the winter clothes with you, some tough trekking boots, and of course, some snacks and a water bottle. All these things should be a part of your backpack, no matter what.

Conclusion

These are some of the most important things you should know and consider before going to Manaslu circuit trek. Make sure to use these tips, and we assure you that you’ll be enjoying a great trek this year.
